Exercise Physiology at Body Maintenance Centre focuses on using targeted exercise to enhance your health, physical function, and overall well-being.

Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) design evidence-based exercise programs tailored to your individual needs—whether you're recovering from injury, managing a chronic condition, or striving for peak performance.

​

Exercise Physiology can support you to:

  • Improve strength, endurance, and conditioning for a specific sport or physical activity

  • Return safely to work or daily activities following surgery or injury, minimising the risk of re-injury

  • Support weight management and reduce risk factors associated with obesity, high cholesterol, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease

  • Enhance general health and quality of life through structured movement

  • Support pre- and post-natal health and manage a range of women’s health conditions, including pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse, incontinence, PCOS, abdominal separation, and post-hysterectomy recovery

  • Improve function and comfort when living with chronic conditions or co-morbidities, such as diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis, COPD, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), and metabolic syndromes

 

Exercise Physiology works hand-in-hand with Physiotherapy and often forms the final phase of your rehabilitation plan—ensuring a smooth transition from recovery to long-term health and performance.
